Le Erbe di Janas St. John's Wort Oil Extract, 20 ml

St. John's wort, scientifically known as Hypericum perforatum, is a type of perennial subshrub that produces bright yellow flowers and stemless, oval-shaped leaves that are covered in translucent and black dots. These dots contain essential oils and hypericin, a reddish substance that can be secreted by the flowers when they are crushed between the fingers.

The plant is characterised by a high content of flavonoids, dianthraquinones (hypericin), essential oils, xanthone, acylfloroglucinolenes (hyperforin), procyanidins and tannins, caffeic acid derivatives, amino acids and coumarin.

St. John's wort oil extract is a traditional natural care product that is ideal for dry, reddened and irritated skin. It is said to have astringent, nourishing and regenerative properties, which is why it is often used for sun-stressed skin, bruises, hematomas, stretch marks or dry skin areas. Only St. John's wort sourced from wild collections in Sardinia is used for this composition. The fresh flowers are macerated in organic sunflower oil.

Application:

• Apply to the desired areas of the skin and massage gently.

Note: After use, be sure to avoid direct sunlight and the solarium - St. John's wort has photosensitising properties.
