Thyme - The thyme is known to most as a Mediterranean herb that is used for cooking. However, it is also used as a valuable healing plant with a variety of effects.Thanks to its disinfectant effect, that fights against bacteria, viruses and fungi, thyme may be used for all kinds of infections. It has anti-inflammatory, anticonvulsant and pain-relieving properties.
Thyme is wildly grown on mountain slopes in the south of Europe and was brought here, across the Alps, by the monks of the Benedictine order.
